SolGuard Commercial Licensing

This page explains how commercial use works. It is not legal advice. Final terms belong in a signed agreement.

English

SolGuard is published under Business Source License 1.1 (BUSL-1.1). The public license covers evaluation, internal testing, and other non-production uses allowed by the license text. If you want to run SolGuard in production or use it in a paid product or service, you need a commercial license.

If that is your use case, email contact@altlayer.io and we will scope the license with you. Please include your company or protocol name, intended use, whether you need redistribution rights, expected users or deployments, and the support level you want.

Commercial terms

A commercial license can include:

  • production deployment rights
  • internal team use
  • redistribution rights for approved environments
  • priority support
  • integration help

Common use cases

Teams usually ask for a commercial license when they want to:

  • run SolGuard inside a SaaS product
  • ship it as part of a paid security platform
  • use it across an internal security team
  • redistribute it to affiliates, contractors, or managed service customers

Why BUSL-1.1

BUSL-1.1 keeps the repository public and puts commercial use behind a paid license. That keeps evaluation simple and makes the production boundary explicit.

How to buy

Email contact@altlayer.io with:

  • your company or protocol name
  • how you want to use SolGuard
  • whether you need redistribution rights
  • the number of users or deployments
  • the support level you want

We will reply with a scope and a draft order form.

If you only want to evaluate

You can still review the code, test the workflow, and validate fit before buying a license. The public license already covers that.
